The Dean of Students office is available to assist students, parents, faculty/ staff, and community members with issues ranging from health and wellness, threatening or disruptive behavior, or other safety issues.
If you are experiencing difficulty or are concerned about a student, share a concern or call the Dean of Students office at (804) 828-8940, and we will assess during normal business hours to determine how to best support your concern.
Mental Health
For issues related to mental health, contact University Counseling Services at Monroe Park Campus at (804) 828-6200 or MCV Campus at (804) 828-3964 or after-hours (804) 828-6200. Students will no longer need to call VCU police for mental health emergencies.
The National Suicide Prevention Line is (800) 273-8255.
Physical Health
For issues related to physical health or illness (non-life threatening), contact University Student Health Services at Monroe Park Campus at (804) 828-8828 or MCV Campus at (804) 828-9220. For emergencies or immediate safety concerns, call VCU Police at (804) 828-1234 or call 911.
Disability and Accessibility
For issues related to disability and accessibility support, contact Student Accessibility and Educational Opportunities at Monroe Park Campus at (804) 828-2253 or Division for Academic Success at MCV Campus at (804) 828-9782.
Student Misconduct or Academic Integrity
For issues related to student misconduct or academic integrity, contact the Office for Student Conduct and Academic Integrity at (804) 828-1963. To report a potential violation of the student code of conduct, please use this reporting form.
Sexual Misconduct/ Violence or Sex/Gender Discrimination
For issues related to sexual misconduct/ violence and sex/gender discrimination, contact Equity and Access Services at (804) 828-1347 or speak confidentially to advocates at University Counseling Services. For emergencies or immediate safety concerns, call VCU Police at (804) 828-1234 or call 911.

Additionally, the Dean of Students office can directly provide assistance to students who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including but not limited to:
- Academic issues (repeated absences from class, missed assignments, academic stress)
- Mental/ physical health issues that are impacting a student’s academic success
- Personal issues (death of a close friend or family member, financial problems)
